Film:
a new adventure of mine
Above All: the story of Kevin Brick, soaring pilot (May 2004)
This film came out of a long, final semester at SJSU. Professor Jon Schainker taught a Creative Arts class in film production. (Really one of the best classes I have ever taken.) We each made a film over the course of the semester, start to finish, treatment and pitching to final cut (and oh, my! how they varied). Anyway, I fell in love with editing. I had never touched a video camera (never had the desire to), but it's sort of addicting. Take a look and let me know what you think.
Lea and Lady (Nov. 2004)
Because of my love for editing, I took on this project for my brother, Kevin. His friend (Lea) owned a horse (Lady) for two years, but recently made the decision to go back to school. Since the upkeep of a horse is quite costly, Lea unfortunately had to sell Lady. This film is a compilation of her practices, clinics, and her very sad last ride, designed for Lea to keep the memory of her days with Lady alive. Kevin shot all of the footage and I did the editing.
A Puppy's Life (July-August 2004)
We got adorably cute puppies, I borrowed Kevin's camera, and Jane got a new laptop with imovie...so we had some fun. Purely a "home movie" so don't think I'm a nut.
